DuVall Elementary, initially constructed in 1921, sits on 1.6 acres of land.
With the 2026 transformational bond, the building would become a preschool through third grade school. Starting in fourth grade, DuVall students would transfer to the new Nowlin-Smith School building. DuVall would also be fully renovated. Estimated renovation costs: $7,995,000. Phase 1 (Years one to five)
- Secured vestibule/reception
- Restroom renovations
- Technology and furniture upgrades
Phase 3 (Years 10 to 15)
- Major renovations including classrooms, media center, gym, and hallways
- Cafeteria and kitchen upgrades
- Site improvements including parking, playgrounds, etc
- Major mechanical replacement – DuVall currently has air conditioning
- Building enclosure including flat roof, windows, doors
- Major electrical replacement
- Major plumbing replacement
- Elevator replacement
