Principal Bio

Principal Robert Attee

Dear DuVall families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I would like to welcome you to DuVall Elementary School.  During the past fifteen years, I have served as a teacher, resource teacher, and assistant principal in the Dearborn Public Schools prior to my appointment as principal of our school. My most recent administrative experience has been shaped by three and one half years of leadership as an assistant principal at Woodworth Middle School.  Prior to this, I have served at Salina Elementary/ Intermediate a resource teacher, technology enrichment teacher, and middle school science teacher.

During my time as a teacher, I had the opportunity to come to DuVall and work with the staff to develop the DuVall Teacher Technology Training Camp that was run at the school for two years. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to the DuVall community and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

Along with the DuVall staff, I am working hard to continue the legacy of success established at our school by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.  We will continue to focus on school-wide initiatives to strengthen and enhance reading fluency and comprehension, writing, and problem solving skills while nurturing a safe and successful learning environment for all students.

During the course of the year, I will work together you and our staff to provide the students of DuVall the best possible opportunities in order to prepare them to become world class citizens and lifelong learners who can master the challenges of the 21st Century.  As principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input.

I look forward to working with you and your child.

In partnership,

Robert Attee

Principal, DuVall Elementary

It is great to see all the good things happening at Duvall school. When I’m in the area, I always drive by. I hope my grandfather Leo’s picture is still there in the lobby. He was an inspiration and tireless educator.
