Report cards were sent home on Friday. If you didn’t see your child’s card please check their backpack.
Running Club and DuVall Depot are canceled this week.
Our annual Pancake Dinner is Wednesday, 6:00-7:00. All of the food will be provided by TaylorTown Coney Island, owned by DuVall’s own Ala Family. The week of January 18-21 we will have a Career Week. We will be asking parents to come and present to classes about their careers. All types of careers are invited! A sign up sheet will be shared soon to sign up. Feel free to pass it on to other family members who may be interested. When signing up you will be able to select your preferred grades. Presentations should be about 15-20 minutes for K-1 and 20-30 for older students.
Once again we will have the Mobile Dentist coming to DuVall. Our date is Thursday, February 27. You can enroll your child to see the mobile dentist at: https://www.myschooldentist.com/34209_sch
Many thanks to Fredi the Pizza Man and his foundation for donating $650 to help equip our new sensory room. The actual room has been completed and we are now setting everything up to make it an optimal space for our student. Congratulations to Aiyla Hammoud for receiving an Honorable Mention in the district Reflections Arts Program. Aiyla’s piece will go onto the state level competition. This was DuVall’s first time participating in this program. Hopefully, next year we will have more students involved. Many thanks to Mrs. Schuchert for coordinating this program for us and to Mrs. Freed for her assistance.

This week’s notes and reminders:
- There is no school next Monday, January 20 in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
- Mr. Tapp will be selling the remaining Heart Challenge ducks for $2.00 each next Tuesday. All proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.
- If anyone is interested in coaching 3rd or 4th grade girls basketball please let me know. The season is February and March.
- Lion King audition will be Wednesday, January 15, 4:00-5:00
- The Early Learning Coalition of Dearborn is requesting followers on their Facebook and Instagram pages. There are cards at the doors with QR codes to go directly to their sites or search them by name on the social media sites.

- PLEASE, put a change of clothes in your child’s backpack, especially grades K-2.
