Dear DuVall Families,
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and/or donated for our Halloween Dance.
Welcome Camree Hill to our DuVall Staff. Ms. Hill will begin on Tuesday as our new second grade teacher. Mrs. Moon will no longer have a 2nd/3rd grade split, instead she will have a straight third grade. We are excited that we will have two straight second grades and two straight third grades. All four of these rooms will have 20-21 students. Ms. Hill is a former DuVall student and joins us from Harper Woods schools.
Friday, October 25 is a half day. Dismissal will be at 12:05. Our school Ambassadors will be having a cheese pizza sale to raise money the GaGa Ball Pit they would like to purchase. Last year’s Ambassadors raised quite a bit of money toward their goal. This year’s Ambassadors would like to continue the fund raising. Slices will be $2.00 each.
Our first Parent Education Meeting of the year is Thursday at 9:00 in the Media Center. Donuts and coffee will be served. The topic is Title One and WIDA. These are required topics that must be shared every year. After the meeting we have an animal assembly on the playground. You are invited to stay for the assembly. Students may bring a blanket or pillow to sit on for the assembly since it will be on the playground.

- Yearbooks will be $13. this year. I will provide the link once I have it so you can order online.
- Our Lost & Found is overflowing. If you are missing anything please stop by and take a look. Remember to write your child’s names on everything.
- DuVall Depot is canceled this week.
- Congratulations to ur Junior City Beautiful Commissioners, 5th graders Leya Khaled and Aleah Alkhatib. They will represent DuVall at the annual breakfast on Thursday along with Mrs. Hughes, their school sponsor.
