Dear DuVall Families,
I wanted to let you know that, with mixed emotions, I have decided that this will be my last year of teaching for the Dearborn Schools. I have had a wonderful career, both in being a leader for the music department at the district level, and also teaching in our schools. DuVall has been my favorite. I have had the privilege of teaching here for the past 17 years and it has been such a wonderful place to belong and feel welcomed by all of you. I have been able to watch families grow and teach full families of children. It has been the best experience. DuVall has a wonderful principal who provides encouragement in her leadership and the staff is the best around. All are caring and want the best for our students and the community. You are so fortunate to have this as your elementary school.
I look forward to traveling with my husband and enjoying our diverse country. I will be back to visit and look forward to hearing all of the wonderful things that DuVall continues to do. Even though I won’t be around daily, I will always consider the DuVall community as my home.
