Dear DuVall Families,
We are having so much fun this year bringing back events that haven’t been held the past few years due to Covid. We had the Halloween Dance, Halloween Parade, Lock-In, 5th grade camp, and the Pancake dinner. We also added Trunk or Treat and hot chocolate & Storytime. There is more to come and I thoroughly appreciate our PTA and everyone who has volunteered and or donated for these events. Up next is our Daddy Daughter Dance on February 10th. Click here to view the flier. Information on purchasing tickets will be shared soon. All of our girls are invited to bring their dad, grandpa, uncle, friend, whomever they like, to escort them. We are looking into a Mom & Son event for our boys. More info to follow.
I realize there has been a great deal of sickness going around. Mr. Dave, Mrs. Carol, and Mrs. Jeta continue to clean and disinfect daily. With that understanding, please be aware, whenever possible your child should be attending school. Making up the work is helpful but when students are absent they not only miss the work but more importantly they miss the instruction that is given.
Our construction is moving along very well. Mrs. Shapas is back in her room, Mrs. Morrison and Mrs. Meyer have relocated. In three weeks our first graders will relocate. After that we just have special areas to be one but our classrooms will be complete. When you are in the building look into one of the completed areas to see the new ceilings and lighting.
This week’s notes:
- Field Day will be June 1st with June 7th as the make-up day if needed due to weather.
- Talent Show will be April 28th.
- Please remember, students must have boots AND snow pants to be able to play in the snow. Otherwise, they must stay on the blacktop. Our children thoroughly enjoy playing in the snow, so please send them with the necessary clothing so they can have fun with their friends making snowmen, snow angels, and using our snow molds.
