Dear DuVall Families,
Eid Mubarak to all who will be celebrating Eid al-Adha at the end of the week!
Report cards and student belongings will be sent home on Thursday.
Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts with promotion and graduation ceremonies at O.L. Smith, STEM, and Edsel Ford, we are unable to reschedule our 5th grade promotion. Therefore, our 5th grade promotion will remain on Friday at 10:00 a.m., with the senior/5th grade clap-out beginning at 9:45 a.m. The promotion ceremony should conclude by 11:00 a.m. (or earlier).
It is my sincere hope that all of our 5th graders will be able to attend. I understand how difficult it is to have promotion scheduled on the same day as your holiday and truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you to everyone who made our Ice Cream Social a success! A huge thank you to Mrs. Hool and Mrs. Moore for chairing this huge event!! Many thanks to Mrs. Noles, Mrs. Pinon, Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Schuchert, Mr. & Mrs. Hammoud, Mrs. Nelson, Mr. & Mrs. Borg, Mrs. Batha, Mrs. Conway, Mr. & Mrs. Skidmore, Mr. & Mrs. Elhaddi, Mrs. Harman, Mr. & Mrs. Woodruff and the list goes on and on. A special thank you to Mr. Filip for stepping in as the drummer of the band. Every volunteer and sponsor was needed and appreciated. Our kids had a great time and so did our parents, staff, and community members. Please look at the sponsor banner on our fence and patronize these businesses. A big thank you to Mr. Bazzi and the Mobil gas station on Rotunda and Greenfield for their donation of three gas gift cards, Tiger tickets, and bags of ice. Their sponsorship came in after the banner was ordered so they are not listed.
Even though it is our last week of school, I am still asking, please help us keep all of our students safe by following traffic laws during drop-off and pick-up.
- Do not park in front of the school.
- Do not park on the wrong side of the street.
- Do not block sidewalks.
- Do not speed.
Morning drop-off takes place on Francis Street between 8:50 and 9:00 a.m. If you arrive after 9:00, you must park and escort your child into the building to sign them in at the office. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to student safety.
This week’s notes:

Seniors should arrive at DuVall by 9:30 on Friday, June 6, 2025.
- We love all of our little Penguins and hope they are returning next year. However, if you plan on moving your child to another school please let us know. This will help us prepare for next year. Thank you
