Dear DuVall Families,
Mrs. Ranka is organizing a pizza sale on Wednesday, April 2nd. The money raised will benefit the students who are attending the Schooner Ship Sailboat field trip in May. This money will assist in paying for their bus. Pizza will be $2.00 a slice. Orders can be placed ahead of time and the pizza will be delivered to the students at the end of the day. Leftover pizza will be sold outside after school.
Soccer is coming to DuVall! Just like basketball we will have two boys and two girls teams, a Varsity and a Junior Varsity. Each team will only have 15 players. Therefore, some students may not make the team. We will practice at DuVall. Boys and girls seasons will run at the same time. Players must wear gym shoes. No crocs, boots, sandals, etc. will be allowed. Tryouts will be April 14 for the boys and April 15 for the girls. More information will be coming. We are in need of parent volunteers to coach. If you are interested please email: mwahidi@hypeathletics.org with your full name, email address, phone number, child’s name, school, and grade you are interested in coaching. Please apply by April 18. I would also appreciate it if you let me know if you apply. Isabelle Hernandez is going to be our liaison.
You can still register! We are excited about the opportunity to hold Summer Discovery at DuVall. It will be a great program filled with learning and fun. We currently have 75 students enrolled so we are getting closer everyday to the number we need to hold summer school at our building.

- M-Step is starting Tuesday, April 8th for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. PLEASE, parents ask your child if they have headphones at school. These are required for M-Step and we are running short so if you can provide a set for your child it is appreciated.

- Sun Bucks: SUN Bucks is the new name for the Summer EBT grocery benefit. Eligible families will receive $120 per child to purchase groceries over the summer. Once you’re enrolled, SUN Bucks will be automatically added to your SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) account or you will be issued a separate electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card. Note: Families can receive SUN Bucks on top of other nutrition benefits like SNAP and WIC (Women, Infants, and Children.)
