Dear DuVall Families,
Here are a few notes to end the year:
- Fifth Grade clap out is at 9:45. Students will exit from door 7 in the back of school and walk along Francis, entering in our front door. They will process through the school and down to the gym for their promotion ceremony.
- Many thanks to our 3 moms, Mrs. Hudgins, Mrs, Schuchert, and Mrs. Noles for handling concessions during the kickball game. I understand the lines were long and some students and parents had to wait. With only three volunteers they were doing the best they could and I appreciate them. Two of these moms did not see their 5th grade sons play in the kickball game because they were helping DuVall and our PTA. They deserved to be treated with kindness, as does everyone at DuVall, even if things are not going the way that we want them to. Patience and kindness are the examples we need to model for our children.
- The ice cream sold during the kickball game was soft. This was a problem with the cooler. My apologies. If your child was unable to eat the ice cream at the kickball game please send in a note and I will reimburse you the $2.00.
- Summer School: Bus pick up will be from DuVall will be at 7:40 and drop off back at school will be at 2:30. Summer school begins on Wednesday. Students who regularly take the bus will be picked up at their normal spot. I have not been given times for your pick-ups yet.
- Our school office will be open all next week. If for some reason your child is absent on the final day of school and doesn’t receive his/her report card, it can be picked up next week, 9:00-3:00.
