DuVall Elementary School

Week of December 19-23

Dear DuVall Families,

Many thanks to everyone who was able to attend last week’s PTA meeting. Thank you, Mrs. Batha, for always running our school store. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Osborn, for your generous monetary donation. Thank you, Mr. Johair and Mrs. Zombeck, for your donation of hats and gloves. We are so lucky to have such wonderful families at DuVall who look out for all of our children. Thank you to everyone who donated for the Veterans project.

Parents are invited to our Sing Along on Friday at 2:30 in the gym. Please park in the back due to garbage day. We will have an adult by Door 8, 2:20-2:35 to let you in. Before 2:20 and after 2:35 door 1 is your only option for entrance. Many thanks to Mrs. Meyer for organizing our Sing Along.

Please use your winter break to spend time with family, rest and get healthy. Mr. Brice continues to spray every surface in our school each morning. Hopefully, those that are battling illness will come back in the new year healthy and ready to go. For those celebrating, Happy Holidays.

This week’s notes:

  • We still have DuVall mugs ($8.00), DuVall School ornaments ($10.00), and Southwestern School (original DuVall) ornaments ($10.00) that would make great gifts. If you are interested come to the office during school hours.
  • Please try to limit travel during school days. If you must travel please contact the office and the teacher ahead of time. There is paperwork involved when travel is beyond a week.
  • Thank you for supporting us and your children. We continue on making good choices and also using manners and being polite.
  • Some of our rooms are drafty. Please send in a light jacket or sweater with your child, especially if they are wearing short sleeves.
  • Our Holiday Shop will be Monday thru Thursday. Many thanks to Lolly by Golly for running this for us.
  • Please remember to contact the office with all phone number changes for parents, guardians, and emergency contacts.
  • Please make sure we are aware of all allergies and health concerns.
  • Our Kindergarten classes are back to their classrooms. Our preschool classes are now relocated. They will move back before we return from winter break. At that time Mrs. Shapas, some of our support staff offices and our Teacher’s Lounge will be relocated.

Have a great week and an even better winter break!
