Our staff will be sending out additional information about scheduled learning labs for next week. Learning labs will be in-person at your child’s school where your student(s) will be allowed to attend on a scheduled basis to receive academic assistance and/or social emotional support. A staff member is present with your child at all times.
For learning labs the following measures have been taken to ensure the safety and health of students and staff:
- possibility of staggered starts/ entry access points to limit class sizes
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for staff and students
- High touch point areas will be frequently cleaned and sanitized
In order to participate in in person learning labs, our school must have a permission slip signed by a parent/legal guardian on file. A print copy of the permission slip will be available prior to the learning lab assigned time, but may also be previewed here:
Additionally, we are asking families participating in learning labs to review and sign the screener consent form as we work in partnership with all families to help us screen for symptoms of COVID 19 prior to entry. A print copy of the Screener consent form will be available prior to scheduled learning lab times, but may be previewed here:
Our school will be using the Wayne County Health Department Screening Tool for families. Please use the screening tool below with your child prior to arriving for learning labs.
I would like to thank our families, staff, and school community for your patience as we navigate through these challenging times. Our school and district will continue to evaluate all situations. The health and safety of your child at DuVall is our school’s utmost concern.
