Peace Day Assembly

Today’s Peace Day Assemblies with all grades was an excellent moment to spread the message of kindness and upstander behavior in our school community. With the support of parent volunteers, staff, and the PTA, our students were able to decorate kindness rocks last week by writing an inspirational message and placed them today in the butterfly garden to inspire others.

We were joined by several families and special guests. Mrs. Edo, a member from the community who has been an advocate for our students, was able to place the first kindness stone in the butterfly garden. Dr. Maleyko, the Superintendent of Dearborn Public Schools, and Dr. Chochol, the Executive Director of Student Achievement helped to take part in the assembly and helped inspire our students to be upstanders.

Student leaders from 4th and 5th grade were able to speak about the benefits of following school rules and being an upstander. Every student had the opportunity to place their kindness rocks in the butterfly garden. Please stop by the butterfly garden to see these nice messages and inspirational pictures the students made. Below are some pictures from the event.
